Microgrit BC Series
Boron Carbide Abrasives
Micro Abrasives’ Boron Carbide Abrasives are manufactured from carbon crude having very low free graphite content, then water classified to the highest quality standards. This exceptionally clean and closely sized product offers many advantages over the competition. Their Knoop hardness of around 3000 makes them suitable for such applications as: personal protection and vehicular armor, lapping of drawing dies, extrusion molds, hardened tools, valves and seats; and for the lapping of ceramics and minerals which are too hard to be worked with silicon carbide. Due to Micro Abrasives unique water classification process, Microgrit BC has exceptional properties in sapphire lapping slurries.

Precision lapping of hardened tools, ceramic valves, seats and sapphire.
