Don Tylenda
I started my employment at Micro Abrasives on September 28, 1989, and was hired to make Water Classified Abrasive Powders on the 2ndshift.Occasionally I would be transferred to other production equipment, gradually learning the complete process.
In January of 2005 the Company had enough faith in my abilities to promote me to Night Foreman in training. My Foreman training lasted for about one year resulting in full status in 2006. This was a job that I thoroughly enjoyed for almost 8 years until I was offered the chance to become Plant Foreman in 2012. This is my current position.
I am very proud to be part of the Micro Management Team and will always do my best to insure superior products are produced for our Customers at Micro Abrasives Corporation.
Dave Ouellette
Hi, my name is Dave Ouellette and I have been an Employee of Micro Abrasives for 19 years, starting at the age of 21. Initially I worked in the Grinding Department that provided feedstocks for the various wet sizing operations, on the 2nd shift. During the course of my employment, I’ve had the opportunity to operate just about every piece of equipment at Micro.
In 2012, I was offered the position of Assistant Shipping Clerk. This position required the reading, understanding and compiling of Customers orders and requirements. There were only two of us in the department, so at times we were very busy and always had to be on our toes. At the end of January 2015, our Shipping Department Foreman retired and I was offered the position. This is my current job and I enjoy it immensely.
One of the strengths I have here at Micro Abrasives is the knowledge that I have acquired over the years about our many processes and products. Being the Shipping Foreman requires great attention to details as well as working together with production to insure orders are put up correctly and shipped on time.
Matt Wengert
Hello my name is Matt Wengert and I have been an Employee of Micro Abrasives for over 22 years now. I started in 1994 as Wet Sizing Operator and very quickly became transferred into the Quality Control Lab as a Lab Tech in training.
After training I worked in the Lab until 2004 when I had the chance to become a Group Leader in the Grinding Department. This was a job that I truly enjoyed and gave it my all. Â I ran the Grinding Department until mid-2015 when I became Assistant Plant Foreman under Don Tylenda.
I am also very proud to be part of the Micro Abrasives Management Team and will always do my best for Product Quality and Customer Service.
Zak Warren
I began my Career at Micro Abrasives in November 0f 2007, working on the 2nd shift in the Abrasive Coating Department.
Management recognized my enthusiasm and attention to detail and began rotating me throughout the plant, allowing me to gain experience with most machines and processes at the Company.
I returned to College full time days, while continuing to work full time nights, which enabled me to earn a B.S at UMASS Amherst, in 2015. During this period I was promoted to Night Shift Foreman in March of 2013.
I look forward to each day’s new challenges at a Company that not only treats its Employees and Customers like Family, but is also on the cutting edge in the field of Abrasive Manufacturing.
