Micro Abrasives Intelligent Self Sharpening Technology is a highly sophisticated alumina designed specifically for the clear coat market. It is not an alumina that was designed for another industry and then retrofitted for your market. Our alumina is calcined in such a way as to constantly be exposing new or fresh cutting angles on the agglomerated crystals. It is equally as important to pack as many of these sharp particles into the agglomerates as possible, maximizing the cutting power of each agglomerate. Microclear is a diminishing abrasive but most importantly it is always exposing lots of sharp new cutting points on the surface of our abrasives. This technology, depending on the mean particle size can be called “non-diminishing abrasives”, “diminishing abrasives” or many other creative terms.
The Microclear family consists of five base products, Microclear DS, Microclear DD, Microclear Ultra, Microclear EC, and now the new Microclear VP. These products were designed over a period of ten years by you, the customer. These products are a reflection of your demands and needs. The Microclear family offers a diverse range of products. These materials come in both dry powder and slurry forms. Each individual product has its advantages for stock removal, finish and gloss.
