Over the years Micro’s greatest success stories comes from networking with manufactures that identified a need for products like ours. Then there is a co-development process that happens between Micro’s staff and the potential customer. Using this process we pool the knowledge of the end user’s application concepts and Micro’s particle enhancement and micronizing skills. This procedure consolidates the core knowledge of both companies and fast tracks results with lower startup costs. As one of the largest alumina micro processing companies in the world we can handle small volume requests with traditional off the shelf products and well as high volume custom made products consuming several thousand tons a year. It is with great sadness that Micro Abrasives announces that Michael Keenan, Vice President of Production will be retiring after 39 amazing years. Michael will be missed by everyone here at Micro Abrasives.
Mike was instrumental in the growth and success of our company.
Over the years Mr. Keenan worked his way up the ranks of the company earning his top position while maintaining the respect and admiration of his peers. He managed the 130,000 sq foot facility and the powder processing plant that it housed. During his tenure Mike had the ability to keep costs at an all-time low while maintaining our high quality standards. He helped Micro navigate some difficult times with his knowledge and leadership skills. Mike was a big part of our extended Micro family and we will miss him. We wish him the best of luck in his long and enjoyable retirement.
In 2015 Micro has made two new additions to our management team. These new members will help Micro Abrasives for years to come in the sales and production fields. We are proud to introduce Scott Cervonayco as Sales Manager. Scott grew up in Westfield and I have known him for the better part of thirty years. His work ethic, strong values and morals make him a great fit for our Micro family. Scott has spent the last year learning our business and has become a strong asset for us. Edward Mrozinski a local professional from Chicopee is our new Plant Manager. Ed brings a lot of core knowledge to our manufacturing process with his multiple engineering degrees and practical experience. It has been a real pleasure getting to know Ed over the past six months. With Ed’s experience and the training from Mike Keenan, Micro’s production process is rock solid. We look forward to Ed’s input and leadership as 2016 rolls along.
Scott Cervonayco
Scott has over 20 years of sales experience in the Abrasive Machining Industry including Buffing, Lapping, Polishing, Grinding, Blasting, Deburring & Vibratory Tumbling. For the past 8 years he was a Regional Sales Manager for Speedfam Corp. & Lapmaster-Wolters of Mt. Prospect, IL.
He is a graduate of Westfield High School & Fitchburg State College and will be responsible for North American & Asian accounts as well as our distributor network.
Edward Mrozinski
Edward Mrozinski has been recently hired as the Plant Manager for Micro Abrasives. Ed holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management both from Western New England University. Before joining Micro Abrasives, Ed has spent nearly 25 years in the manufacturing industry, where he has received training in the areas of TPM, Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing and 5s.
Prior to joining Micro Abrasives Ed served as Plant Manager for Paperchine. During his time, he was able to make several process improvements.
